LEGACIES Receptionist Position
Why LEGACIES?
Are you a interested in working in Customer Service in the medical field? We offer full training, a supportive staff, and flexible hours to students. Qualifications:
- Positive, welcoming, and warm personality.
- Ability to multi-task.

- No prior experience as a receptionist or OMA is required.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic.
- Answering phones on a multi-line phone system.
- Collecting payment from patients.
- Rescheduling patients and booking appointments.
- Computer billing.
- Making night-before appointment reminder phone calls.
- Laundry.
Training:
- Most training happens on-site, under the direction of the Head Receptionist or the Reception Manager, and is gradual and individual paced.
- All receptionists will attend “Exceptional Customer Service” by a third-party training company, at LEGACIES expense.
Pay:
- Probation wage (3 months) is $11/hr
- Raise at 3 months to $12/hr
- Raise at 6 months to $13/hr standard wage
LEGACIES MLS Whitecaps Recovery Team **Application Process Now Closed – Thank-you to all who applied!**
What exactly is this?
Legacies Sports Massage holds the massage therapy contract for the MLS Vancouver Whitecaps, and will be enhancing weekly therapy coverage by including regular “Recovery & Regeneration Treatments”. This is in addition to the regular therapy coverage already being provided by the Legacies Staff.
Regular MLS Season runs March – October 2012. This is a paid position, and therapists will also receive a recognition/appreciation package for being on this therapy team. To allow flexibility in shifts, 5-6 RMTs will be hired. Therapists must be available for a minimum of 4 shifts per month, 2 hrs/shift, which typically land on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Games are typically Wednesdays and Saturdays, and are 4.5 hr shifts. Therapist must be reliable and accountable. Sports Massage Training will be provided as well as a facility and team orientation prior to start.
The Application Process:

- You will be contacted by March 16th and invited to attend an Information Session regarding this opportunity, tentatively being scheduled for the week of March 19th.
- Successful RMTs will start training at the end of March and begin with the team by April.

- To conduct a professional and ethical practice in accordance to the CMT of BC regulations and bylaws.
Training
- Most training happens on-site, under the support of Matt Furlot, Clinic Director.
- A mentorship program, often with senior RMTs is created to assist your transition.
- Monthly education seminars, where we often bring in guest speakers.
- Off-site Training: All new hires must attend a 3-day “Business Mastery” education course, which is paid at the expense of LEGACIES.
Rent
- This is a 5-year old, all-inclusive clinic with low rent for highly valued practitioners.
- Full reception services that include direct insurance computer billing, payment collection, rescheduling, laundry, and reminder calls.
- Bookkeeping service, business cards and stationary, direct deposit, and an extended medical/dental plan are all offered and included.
- Access to our major sports contracts.

Looking for Locum Work?
Are you a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) or Chiropractor (DC) in BC and interested in working at a busy clinic as a locum?
Our therapists and chiropractors are always looking for like-minded professionals who may be interested in either short-term locums (1 -2 weeks) or long-term positions (2 months +). You receive the same great benefits as one of our staff therapists, except for access to our sport contracts. You will have a support staff to hep you succeed in our all-inclusive clinic, and you’ll have direct access to all in-house training and education. Our therapists have busy practices, and will spend the quality time you need to understand their practice, before you begin your locum.
